Versus Entertainment has partnered with Decentraland and Lumiere to develop NFT and Metaverse angles for the upcoming NFT movie, Infinite Machine. The film is based on the book of the same name by Camilla Russo and tells the story of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Leading up to its release, the film will release multiple NFTs, making it the first NFT-funded film.
So let’s dive deeper into the Versus x Decentraland x Lumiere partnership and the NFT film Infinite Machine.

About the Versus x Decentraland x Lumiere partnership
Versus, Decentraland and Lumiere have partnered to bring the NFT film to life. First, Versus will produce the film in collaboration with director Ridley Scott’s production company, Scott Free.
Subsequently, Lumiere, an entertainment specialist based in Hong Kong and Singapore, and Decentraland will develop crypto and NFT-oriented plots. To explain this, Lumier will build and integrate the film’s experience into Decentraland.
The film has a total budget of 16 million dollars. To fulfill this, it will soon be issuing the third set of its NFTs in the coming months. The film reportedly features 10,499 unique NFTs designed by 36 artists. Some of the artists are Lucas Riberiro, Marella Gonzalez and Eduardo Calegari.
As expected, much of the money from NFT sales will go towards the film’s budget. Portions of the proceeds also go to the artists and the Infinite Machine DAO.
About the infinite machine NFT film
Shyam Madiraju will write the script and direct the NFT film Infinite Machine. Meanwhile, Scott Free’s Scott, Tom Moran and Vera Meyer and Versus’ Alejandro Miranda will produce the film.
“This is an event that has the potential to change the way the entire industry develops and delivers its content to its fans and viewers,” said Lumiere CEO Patrice Poujol diversity.
Infinite Machine is another example of the tremendous opportunities that NFTs can bring to various industries, most notably the film industry. The fact is that last year Anthony Hopkins released his new film as NFT. We can certainly expect more use cases in the future.
