A Twitter user reported that the Wagdie NFT project stole artwork. Especially from the hugely popular card game Magic: The Gathering. Of course, that’s unconfirmed, but it looks incredibly similar.

About Wagdie NFT and the Allegedly Stolen Art
The Wagdie NFT (We are All Going to Die) project is an NFT project with 6.7k items and a current floor price of 0.54 ETH on OpenSea. In any case, they seem to be a successful collection, and they have been Over 14,000 followers on Twitter.
The collection appears to be fantasy based. Originally they were minted for free, which seems to be a trend lately. They don’t have a website and are only based on Twitter.
Now it has been alleged that the Wagdie NFT collection stole art from the popular card game Magic: The Gathering. Apparently, according to Remi Lemille on Twitter, her NFT is “literally just Massacre Worm Flipped and Trace.” This is a large worm-like creature with some traits also resembling a dragon.
Magic the Gathering
Magic: The Gathering is both a tabletop and digital trading card game developed by Richard Garfield. To clarify, it is played by 2 or more players and for those watching from the outside the rules seem confusing.
The game has an extremely large and dedicated fan base. There are always many events happening around the world and her official Twitter collection has over 320,000 followers.
Although Wizards of the Coast, the game’s publisher, has expressed an interest in getting into NFTs, there have not been any official Magic: The Gathering NFTs yet.
An unofficial NFT collection has been created. However, this was interrupted when the original game’s publishers brought lawyers into the situation to invade space. This may not bode well for the Wagdie NFT collection if it turns out they stole the art.
If they got into space, it would be a success for sure. Also, many of their fans would no doubt buy their favorite characters in NFT form.
