A brand new NFT collection from Web3 streetwear brand Smilesss and platinum-selling rapper Pooh Shiesty is out today! That Smiles x Shiesty Season The NFT Collection is a celebration of Pooh Shiesty’s platinum-certified debut mixtape, Shabby season.

In summary, the Smilesss x Shiesty Season NFT Collection will be released as part of the Poo Shiesty’s release Shiesty Season: Certified. This deluxe edition celebrates the platinum status of the artist’s debut mixtape, Shabby season.
The collaborative NFT collection from Smilesssvrs NFT creator Waheed Zai and rapper Pooh Shiesty consists of two parts. First, there is a 1,000-piece collection of NFTs. This collection consists of four 250 edition NFTs. These NFTs are alternative covers of the Shiesty Season mixtape, representing the four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall).
Each of these NFTs has a mint price of 0.1 ETH. Additionally, Smilesss has made 500 of the 1,000 NFTs available in a pre-sale exclusively for Smilesssvrs NFT holders. The presale begins today (4/27) at 10:00 AM EST and will last until 4:00 PM EST. The public sale of the remaining Pooh Shiesty x Smilesss NFTs will begin on 4/27. at 4:20 p.m. EST.
The other part of this collaboration is a 24-hour auction for a 1-of-1 NFT. Significantly, this 1-of-1 is actually the original Shabby season Cover Zai created in early 2021, months before he coined his first 1-of-1 NFT. The winner of the auction will receive a personalized SHIESTY SEASON Platinum plaque along with her NFT.
Purchasers of any of the Smilesss x Shiesty Season NFTs can redeem an exclusive t-shirt and ski mask designed by Waheed Zai. They’ll also receive a holder-only wearable Metaverse, as well as an exclusive first listen that new Pooh Shiesty Deluxe mixtape, exclusive to the Smilesss Discord.
The two artists worked together early in their careers
The Smilesss x Shiesty Season NFT Collection represents a coming full circle moment for both Pooh Shiesty and Waheed Zai. In fact, the Shiesty Season mixtape stands out as the rapper’s groundbreaking work.
For the same reason, the Pooh Shiesty album cover was Zai’s largest commissioned artwork at the time. As a result of the cover art, Zai’s work reached a whole new audience. In fact, the pinned tweet is still on Zai’s Twitter account (@all_smilesss). Post from April 2021 celebrating the release of his Shiesty Season cover photo The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
In a statement on the collaboration, Zai said:
“Looking back, what felt like a good commission opportunity back then is now a significant moment in my artistic career. I took a leap of faith to build something I’d never built before, and Pooh Shiesty and his team risked making good on that promise.” He added, “Months later, that risk allowed me to use Smilesssvrs to mine to create your own world.”
The NFT collection featuring Pooh Shiesty represents the latest major partnership for the 6 month old NFT project and the Web3 native brand. Previously, Smilesss created merch with leading streetwear brand The Hundreds. Not to mention his partnership with Coinbase NFT and his upcoming kids TV show with TIME Studios.
Unfortunately, Pooh Shiesty’s collaboration with Smilesss comes at a particularly bad time. Just last week, the 22-year-old rapper was sentenced to 63 months in prison in connection with a 2020 shooting.
