Artist Serge Gay Jr. and LGBTQ+ civil rights photographer Danny Nicoletta have collaborated on an NFT series for Pride Month. Additionally, the eight-image limited art series is titled “Beacon of Hope for Action.”

A San Francisco-based organization, Friends of Harvey Milk Plazais working to create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. So it has teamed up with Grammy-nominated artist Serge Gay Jr. and acclaimed photographer Danny Nicoletta.
The resulting Digital Art NFT series honors Harvey Milk’s legacy. In addition, proceeds from the NFT auction will go towards the development of the redesigned Harvey Milk Plaza in San Francisco. It’s an internationally recognized neighborhood for LGBTQ+ activism and home of the late Harvey Milk.
The Pride Month NFT Series Special Auction begins May 23, Harvey Milk Day, at 9:00 am ET. Additionally, the auction will continue until June 1st, the start of Pride month, at 3:00pm ET.
The auction now includes two unique collections. The first will run from May 23rd at 9:00am ET to May 30th at 9:00am ET. Accordingly, the second is scheduled from May 25 at 3:00 p.m. ET to June 1 at 3:00 p.m. ET
“As an artist, my greatest power is my craft, and I’m honored to bestow that power on this movement and the FHMP,” said Serge Gay Jr. “Digital activism, like our NFTs, can be used to empower today movements and create change. The fight for LGBTQ+ rights can often feel like a replay. Sometimes, under the weight of all these attacks, it feels like we’re moving backwards. We must fight to break the pattern.”
