Memphis Depay, a Dutch professional soccer player and Bored Ape Yacht NFT owner, showed off his sparkling grill with his BAYC NFT. Gabby Ellan Jewelry designed the custom grill and posted a video of it on Instagram with the caption “@memphisdepay with the first-ever @boredapeyachtclub grill”.
The very first Bored Ape Yacht Grill for Memphis Depay
Barcelona footballer Memphis Depay bought a Bored Ape NFT on February 1st. He tweeted it and made it his PFP. Three months later we can see the very first Bored Ape grill made specifically for Depay.
The grill looks incredible, full of diamonds and other gems. The top of the grill features enamel work of his NFT, Bored Ape #7921, and a lion resembling his tattoo, which Depay said in an interview means “I have the heart of a lion.” There’s also a Puma logo since Depay became Puma’s new global brand ambassador two months ago.
The bottom grid spells out BATTW, which matches one of Depay’s IG posts with the caption, “Blind and Deaf to the world. #BADTTW“.
Depay’s stunning grill is just another gem from an NFT collection. Just yesterday, Crown Collection also unveiled a custom CloneX chain for Takashi Murakami and RTFKT Studios. The chain features Murakami’s floral motif, seen in most of his NFT artwork, as well as the RFTKT logo. Last month, LVMH heir Alexandre Arnault also showed off his jeweled rose gold CryptoPunk by Tiffany & Co.
