Using his fictional continent, Ink Master tattoo artist Jesse Smith ventures into the Metaverse with his new NFT project. In fact, it is a multi-faceted story-based project centered on the fictional continent of Carkayous.
The idea behind Jesse Smith’s Carkayous
According to the famous tattoo artist “Carkayous was born out of the need to create more depth” in his work. Thus, Smith created the fictional continent of Carkayous for all of his inked characters to live and interact with.
“I had this idea brewing in my head for a while,” said Jesse Smith. “But one of the things that kind of kicked it over the edge was when I went to Universal Studios.”
While he was riding the roller coaster from Dr. Seuss was driving, he recalled thinking, “I have to create a world like this.”

Meanwhile, Jesse Smith’s upcoming NFT project has 10,000 parts PFP waste. It is also set on Ferchett’s Island, a large island on the southeastern side of Carkayous.
Again, this NFT collection only focuses on the purple air creatures.
Jesse Smith’s future plans
As the artist revealed, his main goal is to keep expanding Carkayous. Also, he has been working on this project for over a decade.
Smith “would like to see it eventually become a video game and an animated film.” In addition, the artist suspects that Carkayous would become his life project.
