Slipknot, a heavy metal music band, has teamed up with The Sandbox to bring a Knotverse club to the ecosystem. Together they will curate a unique meeting place for heavy music culture in the metaverse. With the partnership, Slipknot wants to bring their “Knotfest”, their festival, to the Metaverse.
Knotverse will host a range of Web3 experiences such as unique NFTs, games, generative collections, new music and much more.

Slipknot feels Sandbox is the best Metaverse platform that fits their vision. The Knotfest is typically a “dark carnival” and they will be working hard with the sandbox team to recreate that in the metaverse.
Slipknot decides to host its Knotverse on Sandbox
As mentioned, the Sandbox team will work closely with Slipknot to develop these “lands” in their digital ecosystem. Another artist already partnered with Sandbox is Snoop Dogg. He has a piece of land where he plans to host Metaverse concerts as well.
Slipknot recently said they “listen, watch and go where our fans take us”. This shift and movement toward the Metaverse has caught the band’s attention. They also want to interact with their fans and build closer relationships. They think building Knotverse in The Sandbox is the best way to do it.
The future of fully interactive Metaverse festivals and concerts is upon us. A huge event that comes to mind is when Marshmello performed a virtual concert during the Fortnite World Cup.
