Gari DAO, the governing body behind Web3 short video app Chingari, is adding Chainlink price feeds to the app running on the Solana (SOL) mainnet.

The DAO announced this news on April 21, noting that this integration would introduce smart contract functionality in Chingari.

When adding smart contract Capabilities for Chingari, Gari DAO aims to empower video creators and digital artists around the world by allowing them to receive fair rewards for the content they create. Additionally, the organization aims to develop blockchain-based games and new advertising models within Chingari to reward everyone who interacts with them.

Gari DAO said Chainlink Price Feeds now has access to high-quality, tamper-proof price feeds, which are essential to powering its e-commerce ads and prediction markets. The organization added that Chainlink Price Feeds would guarantee Chingari’s 70 million+ users the accuracy and transparency of the data the platform uses to predict markets and prices.

Gari DAO co-founder and CEO Sumit Ghosh said:

“As a highly secure solution that integrates seamlessly, it’s easy to see why Chainlink Price Feeds are the most widely used data solution on Web3. With our content creators and users driving the success of our app, we know how important it is to provide them with a highly accurate and transparent rewards process.”

Chainlink continues to cement its position as the best oracle solution

Chainlink was founded in September 2017 and has developed rapidly expanded, with over 1,000 projects currently integrating its price feeds. Remarkably, more than half of these integrations took place in 2021, showing that the platform’s popularity is increasing rapidly.

This accelerated growth comes after Chainlink rolled out services on multiple Layer 1 and Layer 2 protocols over the past year. These include Arbitrum, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Ethereum, Fantom, Harmony, Heco, Moonriver, Optimism, Polygon, Starkware and xDai.

Additionally, Chainlink rolled out its Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF), which it first introduced to Ethereum in late 2020, to BSC and Polygon in 2021. Chainlink VRF gives smart contracts access to a secure source of on-chain randomness vital for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and on-chain gaming apps.

Aside from blockchain projects, mainstream companies like Amazon Web Services, AccuWeather, and Associated Press have also embraced Chainlink to incorporate blockchain technology into various parts of their operations.
