Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather promotes a new NFT project after the Mayweverse rug pull. You might think that Floyd might take a break from the NFT space after the latest NFT scam he’s somehow associated with.

After all, he has now been linked to several NFT and crypto projects that have had questionable results. These include Ethereum Max, Bored Bunny, Real Floyd NFT, Moonshot and others. Significantly, most of these are worth next to nothing, and the development teams are AWOL.
Floyd Mayweather’s questionable history with NFT projects
The latest project was Mayweverse, which was promoted as an NFT brand and metaverse for Floyd Mayweather. The project looked very promising and there were over 100,000 members on the official discord. However, many people suspect that most of these were “bots” since the project didn’t even sell out to begin with.
Additionally, the project hasn’t tweeted since the coin ended, and Twitter NFT investigator @ZachXBT has done some investigating. He found that eight days after the minting, someone had transferred the $200,000 proceeds to two purses.
After further research, ZachXBT created a trail with some wallets from previous NFT projects that Mayweather has supported.
Floyd Mayweather is now promoting a new NFT collection again. In fact, he participates in the Global Titans Fight Series. This is a new high profile event series for athletes that uses NFTs as tickets and offers useful rewards. NFT holders get access to stream these fights online.
It’s unclear what will happen next and if the Mayweverse will return to action. For now it appears to be another dubious NFT project that Floyd Mayweather happens to have ties with.
