ETH NFT collective Doodles appointed a Billboard executive Julian Holguin as their new CEO, as we can see more in our latest Ethereum news today.

ETH-NFT collective Doodles announced that former Billboard President Julian Holguin will serve as the new CEO. The official Doodles account tweeted:

“Julian will work with the founders to expand Doodles’ intellectual property into music, games and entertainment while embedding the culture deeply into the product.”

Given the decades-long career he’s had in the music and entertainment industries, this is great refreshment. During his stint on the music industry website and chart maker’s billboard, Holguin served as vice president of brand partnerships and senior vice president of revenue and the partnerships, but as of 2021 he served as president. Launched in 2021 by Evan Keast, Jordan Castro and Scott Martin, Doodles is a collection of 10,000 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. The NFTs are the blockchain-based deeds for other assets like series of animated humans, monkeys and cats, so Doodles now have a minimum price of 22.5 ETH on OpenSea.

The owners of the NFTs can participate in coordinating the finances of the group and vote on future campaigns making Doodles a Dao, an online community whose members use Wbe3 tools and organize control of the group among themselves. The DAOs use tokens to incentivize members and drive group decision-making. Holguin tweeted:

“I’m thrilled to be joining Tulip, Poopie and Burnt Toast @doodles. Phase 2 starts now – get ready!”

As previously reported, Yuga Labs is a million-dollar startup and is the startup behind the $4 billion Bored Ape Yacht Club, which had its anticipated Otherside Metaverse Mint on Saturday, clogging the ETH mainnet and sending gas prices to new highs. In less than a day, Yuga Labs generated more than $561 million from Otherside’s NFT sales. The NFTs are unique blockchain tokens that signify ownership of the physical asset and, in the case of Otherdeeds, are said to be the key to claiming land in Otherside, Yuga Labs’ upcoming Metaverse game.
