PRESS RELEASE. Recent news shows that AuroraFS has progressed in its vision and direction regarding the development of the next generation of DApps that will be deployed on the P2P decentralized cloud storage and distribution network. AuroraFS announced the intention to start developing DApps that will run on the content storage and streaming network in addition to Web3Tube.

Web3Tube is the decentralized video storage and sharing application that has been in full testing mode for over a month. Web3Tube was the first decentralized application to demonstrate the power and power of the decentralized cloud network known as AuroraFS. Now, with the expansion into developing more DApps, the search for DApps developers is underway.

What do the new development plans look like?

The development of the next generation of DApps has sparked a quest for decentralized application developers to bring talent to AuroraFS to deliver just that. In order for the AuroraFS blockchain network to start generating future DApps running on the peer-provided global data resource pool and demonstrating its power and breadth, fresh ideas and talent are needed. So the network set out to find both.

Not only do the ideas come from network contributors and advisors, but the AuroraFS network community has also been asked to submit and weigh ideas for the next wave of DApps to be developed. This is certainly a sensible move as the community is expected to play a key role in running these front-end DApps. The community was asked to play a complex role in the development of the network in this way, as AuroraFS demonstrates through actions a significant level of trust in the opinions and views of its community, the Web3Tube video creators, network users, AuroraFS and Web3Tube winners of the contest and the Campaign, as well as owners of AUFS tokens airdropped.

“We were thrilled to receive feedback from the AuroraFS community. They are actively using the network on Web3Tube and are involved in all competitions and upgrades made to the decentralized network, so it’s certainly a good idea to consider their valuable feedback for the next phase of AuroraFS DApps.” – Warwick Powell, Director of Design and Research at the Gauss Aurora Lab

DApps on AuroraFS so far

So far, the focus has been almost exclusively on Web3Tube, the first DApp developed to demonstrate the extensive capabilities of the AuroraFS decentralized content network. It took a lot of time while Web3Tube was in the concept phase as AuroraFS was still deep in the development phase, just past theory and hypotheses. A downloadable version of Web3Tube has since gone live and has been available since March when future airdrop campaigns began.

Web3Tube is comparable to a platform like YouTube, but innovative as it is completely decentralized. To achieve this, Web3Tube relies on the fully decentralized yet fully secured AuroraFS innovation, which combines cutting-edge technologies to create data efficiency advanced enough to deliver HD quality in a fully decentralized and secured environment. In fact, pulling this off while maintaining anonymity and integrity has been an achievement for AuroraFS so far, motivating the decision and drive to develop more DApps this season.

Final mentions and next steps for AuroraFS

As the development plans for the next phase of DApps are in place, AuroraFS moves closer to the expected token and mainnet launch in the third quarter of this year. The exact date in Q3 is yet to be determined as regular improvements continue to be made to the network and Web3Tube application in pursuit of the highest quality.

The final round of the third official future airdrop contests and campaigns has also recently come to an end, and the team of Gauss Aurora Labs AuroraFS contributors have made multiple appearances at blockchain and tech events. Members of the team were present at Blockchain Week in Australia in late March and also at FinTech21, held in Melbourne on May 18-19. So, disclosure has been a focus as the team at Gauss Aurora Labs attempts to educate individuals about the new blockchain development that is yet to be fully released.

The latest version of the AuroraFS can be downloaded online with devices that meet the necessary system requirements. This could become more important information as broadband mining, which has so far been enabled in a testing phase, will soon go live as full network launch draws closer.
