Ever wondered what Metaverse-flavored drinks taste like? Now you can experience it with Coca-Cola’s Zero Sugar Byte. According to the brand, Zero Sugar Byte will be the first Coca-Cola flavor to be born in the Metaverse. Sounds cool doesn’t it? In fact, the drink will make its first appearance in the metaverse before hitting retail stores across the US next month.
Dive into the metaverse of Coca-Cola with Zero Sugar Byte
There are two immersive digital experiences coming together with the launch of Zero Sugar Byte. First, get to know Pixel Point, a Metaverse game available in Fortnite creative mode. There are four multiplayer minigames that you can participate in: The Castle, The Escape, The Race and The Tower. In each game you have to work together with other players to solve challenges and climb the tower.
Next, you can also access an AR game that includes BYTE, an eight-bit pixel left behind when Coca-Cola Byte entered the Metaverse. How can you access it? Simply scan your Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte packet here. Once you’re done, your next mission is to get BYTE to rejoin the in-game Coca-Cola logo. Beat other players’ target times and post your achievements on social media.
In case you’re wondering, the Zero Sugar Byte will come in a twin pack. One for consumption and the other can for collection purposes. As twin packs are sold in limited quantities, keep an eye out for the release dates. The product will be launched in Latin America for the first time on April 4th. For US consumers, it’s May 2nd. In China it is May 23rd.
All in all, Coca-Cola has made its way into the Metaverse since last year. The brand launched NFT collectibles for the first time on World Friendship Day. Then, in February of this year, Coca-Cola launched Coca-Cola Starlight with an AR concert featuring Ava Max. One thing is for sure, Coca-Cola isn’t slowing down on its journey to the metaverse. In fact, the brand will be launching more flavors under its creation hub this year.
