Do-it-yourself augmented reality platform Overly has announced its OpenSea integration. Additionally, NFT creators and holders can now interact with their digital tokens in real life using Overly.

excessive is a no-code AR creation platform that offers creators and owners a non-binding visualization opportunity. In addition, creators can launch their NFTs directly from the OpenSea NFT Marketplace with Overly’s augmented reality platform.

In contrast to other augmented reality platforms, Overly has not introduced a trading platform. Instead, it aims to simplify the creation of AR experiences using OpenSea integration and make it a quick copy-paste job.

Meanwhile, Overly users can add NFTs to AR by copying a hyperlink to their digital assets in Overly’s 3D editor. As a result, the system pulls the NFT metadata directly from the hosting platform for visualization.

Likewise, users can also manually upload the file to the Overly AR creation tool to visualize NFTs from other platforms. Currently the Overly creator supports OpenSea NFTs in 3D formats such as GLTF, GLB and FBX. In addition, it also supports 2D assets including JPG, PNG and MP4.

Additionally, Overly plans to connect the augmented reality platform to several other NFT marketplaces besides OpenSea. In addition, the Overly team is developing a WebAR functionality to enable markerless object visualization.

“Previously, people could create, buy and view AR-NFTs through a specialized vendor or not at all,” said Gatis Zvejnieks, CTO of Overly. “People who buy 2D content on OpenSea can buy a 3D object the next day. Just because an NFT wasn’t minted on an AR-powered platform doesn’t mean people can’t bring it into their environment through augmented reality.”
