OpenSea removes another NFT collection without warning. This time it’s Art Cats NFT – a project that helps stray animals by providing food, medical care and building shelters. Art Cats announced yesterday its removal from the OpenSea Marketplace.

Why did OpenSea Art Cats remove NFT?
Through a tweet, Art Cats NFT announced that they cannot find their collection on OpenSea and it appears that the platform has removed them from the list. According to their post, they are at a loss as to why it happened because they haven’t received an email from OpenSea about the removal.
The NFT project reported that they contacted Opensea’s support team while their collections were still online. They intend to ask them to verify their account and collection. However, OpenSea rejected their request as the project has not yet reached the 100 ETH trading volume requirement.
Apart from the verification email from OpenSea, they stated that they had not received any messages from the NFT marketplace. Also, they said OpenSea removed their collection without notice.
At the end of the post, Art Cats assured its owners that they have already submitted a request to OpenSea to resolve the issue.
OpenSea strikes again
OpenSea delisting NFT projects without notification is something NFT creators grumble about. Last week, Godjira was delisted for a fake online letter. Now it’s removing Art Cats and its owners are upset because they’re the only charity-based music NFTs.
The number one NFT marketplace should do something about it. For example, warn NFT projects before shutting them down from the platform.
