On 4/30 at 12 PM ET, the Otherside metaverse will finally make its grand entrance. In the official Otherside teaser that broke the NFT space, everyone noticed a cute, albeit fierce-looking, creature in several scenes. Alongside the Otherside logo, which looked like a Koda, the celestial creatures also featured on the leaked BAYC pitch deck. So here’s what we know so far.

Koda NFTs: The Next Big PFP?

Based on the pitch deck, there are not many celestial bodies left and without their energy the universe will collapse. Fortunately, there is another race of Celestials, namely the Kodas. The Kodas used their cosmic energy to birth a final microverse into our dimension. Then they identified and extracted the perfect candidates and dumped them in a strange new land. In the official teaser video, we see exactly this scenario. Bored monkeys and other notable NFTs arrive in…The Otherside.

A few days ago that BAYC tweet teased, ‘What the hell is a koda?’ and said nothing further. Fascinating but kind of annoying when everyone is dying to find out what it is. If there are no significant changes to the pitch deck, players can only obtain a Koda NFT by purchasing a property in the Otherside metaverse. But there is only a small chance of meeting one.

There will be a total of 200,000 lots, half of which will be released by the Genesis drop. 30% of the 100,000 lots will go to BAYC/MAYC owners while 70% are earmarked for public sale. The pitch indicates that they will be for sale at 1 ETH per lot. Here’s the juicy part. Each lot will have a chance to contain natural resources, rare artifacts, and for the lucky few, a Koda! This means that if you’ve been kicked out of Bored Ape Yacht Club, this could be your chance to get in at an extremely low price.

Still, depending on Yuga Labs, there’s only a 10% chance of getting them, or maybe even less. If all 10,000 Kodas are in the Genesis drop, there is a 10% chance. If the 10,000 PFPs are randomly distributed across the 200,000 lots, the odds drop further.

ETH or APE?

Another burning question is whether the land sale will be in ETH or ApeCoin. Is ApeCoin’s launch in recent months just a happy coincidence? Although ApeCoin is available on several major exchanges, most NFT enthusiasts still use ETH. On the other hand, ApeCoin price is currently at its all-time high and shows no signs of slowing down. Could it be the upcoming Metaverse launch? We’ll find out soon.
